The bottom pic is the Smith Brother's owned, Bob Whitbeck wrenched #22wheeled by the man himself,...Pete Corey.This #22 was built in Canajoharie, NY in Whitbeck's garage under theinquisitive watch of a very young study....by the name of Dave Lape.Now, if you ever wondered where the number and paint scheme that Lape campaigned on his cars for 40+ years, now you know.BTW, the #22 that is seen here was speciously lost in a garage firein the winter of '59.
