No, Steve. This is Jim Robinson from the Louisville area. New Albany, Ind. I believe. He's still around. This is the car a family in Louisville bought from K&K, and was driven by Ken Reiter, Jim Robinson, and Jesse Baird to name a few.

Looking at the roof, it's a Charger 500.

Thanks, John. I always wondered about the "Jim Robinson's". Shortly after the time period of this race I moved to California for a job opportunity and soon found out that there was a Jim there, too, running Winston West. Didn't think it was the same guy - if so he sure got around !Steve

I remember Jim being at New Bremen for this race. It was the Dayton 500 that Earl Baltes had moved from Dayton Speedway to New Bremen. If I remember right Jim ended up finishing up towards the front that day & drove most of the race one handed, probably holding his head up with the other hand.
