The #4 has to be either Nelson or McCluskey, Steve.

Looks like Roger just to the left of the A post, but can't tell for sure.

John,I think you are right. I looked through some of my files for a listing of how this one finished and couldn't find anything. Not sure even who won. Unser sort of comes to mind, but I saw two or three different USAC stock races at New Bremen, so I'm just not sure about the order of finsh.Steve

I think this is 6/16/68 USAC race at NB, twin 100's. If 1970 there would be guard rail between pits and track. The #5 is Al Unser, #4 was Norm Nelson in the first 100, then Don White drove it in the second 100 aftercrashing in practice trying to avoid Lamarr Marshalls spin. Not sure on the #91. First 100 resuts: Jack Bowsher, Gene Marmor, Norm Nelson, Frank Freda, Jim Nussbaum, Bob Haack, Al Unser, Fred Zach, Bill Shirey, Paul Sizemore, Elmer Davis, Roger Regeth, Glen Bradley, M. Perry, Bill Behling, Dale Koehler, Paul Feldner, Dave Whitcomb,Dick Benlich... Second 100 results: Jack Bowsher, Al Unser, Don White, Gene Marmor, Roger Regeth, Dave Whitcomb, Bob Haack, Frank Freda, Paul Sizemore, Jim Nussbaum, Fred Zach, Glen Bradley, M. Perry, Dale Koehler. The 2nd race was delayed an hour when Bill Behling crashed into the pits, injuring the track doctor. Ive been researching NB Speedway for about 20 years now.

Dave, Thanks for the info. I had taken a number of race track shots through1960's and 1970's and the negatives were "lost" for more than thirty years. I found them in my storage unit one day and went out and bought a scanner that processed negatives. Then I set out to share these photos with the world on Racers Reunion. Seemed like a good place to deposit them. I have heard from SO many people who remember these various events. I'm glad that there are still some of us left that were around then.I had forgotten about the wreck that injured the doctor. Remember it well, now that you reminded me of it.If you go to my page, and scroll through all of my photos, you should see some from at least three different New Bremen races. This USAC one, an ARCA race, and a Sunday Late Model show. Not sure they were all the same year - I think the ARCA and Late Model shows were a couple of years later. I was working on the infield crew for both of those races. Hey, if you ever do a book on New Bremen, you are welcome to use any photos I have. Thanks again for the info on the driver ID's. Steve
