Little Deuce Coupe-You don't know what I got. Known as a Chevy II,little duece coupe. You don't know what I got. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Owned from 1975 to 1981, traded even up for my 35 Chevy. Had no idea the car had history. The guy I bought it from said it was a Jack Schaffer car. Jack from Honesdale P.A.-Honesdale Honker. A Jay Howell built car gives it more history. Magazine and newspaper coverage adds more history. Carl Brucher, along time drag racer from Carbondale P.A. told me he had worked on this car. The guys who raced against the Honesdale Honker, like Wally Bell. This adds more history, but so little exists. It changed hands from the guy I traded it to. That was early 1980's. Where the car is and who owns it is anyones guess. Maybe with the internet coveage, it will show up. Maybe just for pictures and to know that it still exists. We can only hope that this car and other will resurface. Our past tells how we got to this point in our lifes. May we continue to support our love of old and current drag racing.

Hi Wally, these are all I have and have found. It's strange that I have a copy of SS&DI with Jay and Jack. No pictures of when Rich Hokien owned car, second owner. He had a 327 chevy in it. D/Altered. I look on the internet, newspapers, paper shop and always looking when out driving. Maybe it is forgotten, stuck in a shed, barn or garage, out of the weather. The metal in the car was in great shape and the fiberglass so-so. The first Tri-Cities event had a white 62 Nova there, and from a distance, it could have been. I know every inch of the car and will know it to be the one. It's great to always have something to be searching for. Never know what's around the next corner.

jack schaffer owned a tan 1962 plymouth sport fury 2dr hardtop with the big super stock package--i guess this was before he went into the chevy11 cars. i remeber the plymouth well because jack tried to swap me even for my 1962 pontiac catalina--i believe he wanted my pontiac to use as a tow car--any info on the plymouth and where it ended up?
