I'm not sure of that because what I can remember it was the first color he had when he started racing with #46. I wish my dad would of kept better records. Maybe it will be in the photo album my mom is sending me. His 2nd wife followed his caree. Its all in there.

car year is 71-72 for sure.car is a 71-72 Chevelle.Photo is from 72 judged from decal set.

I'm gonna say 1972,the Winston racing decal helps the tme line,but I could be wrong.peace,out.

I agree...1972 would be correct because of the Winston Cup Grand National decal as Mike Ray has stated.Sharp eye Mr. Ray.Only difference in a 71 and 72 Chevelle was turn signal glass, a few moulding pieces and HP rating.
