The Lady in Black at Indy ~ Once Upon a Time

Good day gentle readers. As you all know, there are things to talk about in the racing world today, with most of them centering around a young driver named A.J. Allmendinger. Right up front, I plead ignorance, having never ingested anything in my life with the purpose of speeding me up... unless nicotine counts.  That is long-gone from my life and I really don't know which direction it's purported to take one, but I suspect that would be in the direction of the poor house. >insert apology to Winston, longtime sponsor of all things NASCAR<

As promised, this column will not be discussing that topic, today, tomorrow or probably ever, so if you came seeking a crucifixion, look elsewhere. Instead, in answer to a lot of requests for more of The Lady in Black, I decided to combine her with the race of the week, the Brickyard 400. This one is really vintage LIB in that it is only the second time she ever appeared on the Internet for publication, though she had lived in a Yahoo Fantasy Racing group for some time before that.
