The Bradley Brothers had a new race car ,
#0, at the beginning of the heat race. When the green flag fell, Billy Scott was ahead of Jason Keller by half of a car length,but Jason's first visit to Cherokee taught him the no-nos of the track. He crowded Billy into the guard rail coming off turn two and sent Billy airborne.
