Incredibly, Spartanburg fairgrounds speedway was resurrected in 2002 as part of fund-raising for a proposed stock car racing museum. A couple of celebrity/vintage events were held, and the project was soon uncermoniously abandoned. Creating a rare double dose of ghost track-ism.
I went to one race there in 1987, very dusty that night but some great racing.
