Located on US HWY 17 south of the city, the ghostly remains of the Charleston Speedway can be seen in this 1980's Terraserver photo. Charleston, once a hot-bed of Saturday night racing,with multiple area tracks, now has none, having lost the sole survivor the Summerville Speedway a few year back to developers.
