Gaffney Speedway
Conveniently located on "Old Race Track Road" lies the fading footprint of the old Gaffney (SC) Speedway. Opening in the late 1940's and racing (maybe) into the 1960's the 3/4 mile raceway pre-dates its nearby and more well-known cousin the 'Cherokee Speedway'. A power-line right-of-way appears to bisect the 3rd and 4th turns.
Cool.
It's not as recognizable today. Time has continued to erase most signs of this track.
