Sanford Motor Speedway
By 2009, US 1 is a four lane highway, and the ghost of the old Sanford Motor Speedway is still evident. The old track, among other things, has survived a dirt mining operation, and is now quietly becoming one with nature.
This track had some very good racing, went there onece I think in late sixtys or maybe earlie seventys.
Went to quite a few Sanford shows in the late 60s.
