I've seen this photos before but don't know the story behind it. Does anyone know why Smith drove this Chevy???

Yes Carling provided Larry a car to run Riverside instead of him transporting his Mercury. Why it was a chevy I am not sure or whos car it was but I guess they made a deal with someone for the car. Thats about all I know about it.

It was a rented car from a team in California so the didn't have to haul cross country. Black Label wanted to be in the Riversid race.
