What happened to Larry is something that stands out in my memory. Anytime I think about the racing in that era my mind replays this tragedy. I remember listening to the radio and hearing about the crash and for some reason I have a hunger to learn more about this driver and the crash.

Thanks for the info. I still hear that it wasn't a hard hit but the picture looks like it was. Also, why had Larry made a pitstop? I think he crashed on the 14 laps or something like that. Was there a problem that caused the pitstop?

Was it a hard hit? Could the car have been fixed and returned to the race? I hear the team was working on it and the damage was extremely bad. Just wondering. I person on here had pictures of the car after the crash and he said the frame and rollbar behind the seat was bent.

Have you seen the newspaper photo of the wreck in the Racers Reunion photo page? Someone posted it here a year or two ago. Looks hard.
