1958, the last Modified/Sportsman race on the beach. From the line up that i have, Glenn Wood is the only Sportsman car in the picture. A one Carb car. Glenn finished third in this race, he was the first Sportsman car. To me and NASCAR that goes down as a win. This car went on to finish second in 1959, first Sportsman again, and this same car set on pole in 1960 and finished second, yes first Sportsman again. This #22, 1954 Ford Wood Brothers built had a lot of history.
