Thank you so much Johnny and Tim and everyone who came, you guys at Racer's Reunion are first class!!!! Saturday was an amazing day for all of us with Ken Moore Productions and AIRPS but for me personally it was so much more. This DVD, this was my first experience in emersing myself in a subject I really knew nothing about, the Speedway was closed before I was born. Through all the research, through all the interviews I learned so much about the heritage of Racing that took place right in my own back yard. When I wrote the screenplay I thought of every person I had spoken with especially Mrs. Rosemary Padgett who's family was so much a part of the history and all the many drivers. Once I wrote it I turned it over to Ken and went back home to Florida. Saturday I got to watch the faces of about 300 people, some I had thought of specifically while writing it but all I had written it hoping they would learn something or remember something or just relive some cherished moments. To see the faces was a very emotional experience and cemented my life as a writer. For a writer there is nothing more you can hope for than to take people somewhere so all I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all those who went on this journey with me.
