Special Guests for Tuesday Night Racing Through History

Administrative

Hi Tim it's Vickie, Ken's daughter and screenwriter of the movie. I'll be listening tonight and sure hope to see you in Augusta Friday. And please don't you let him go telling everyone on air I peed my pants over meeting Rixhard Petty cause that's just not true lol. Now the jumping up and down is all true. Have a great show and come see Augusta International Speedway: A Race With Destiny completely remastered and on the big screen, Lord I may be more excited than being in Richard Petty garage!!

newDVD release

Historic Speedways and Ghost Tracks

Thank you so much Johnny and Tim and everyone who came, you guys at Racer's Reunion are first class!!!! Saturday was an amazing day for all of us with Ken Moore Productions and AIRPS but for me personally it was so much more. This DVD, this was my first experience in emersing myself in a subject I really knew nothing about, the Speedway was closed before I was born. Through all the research, through all the interviews I learned so much about the heritage of Racing that took place right in my own back yard. When I wrote the screenplay I thought of every person I had spoken with especially Mrs. Rosemary Padgett who's family was so much a part of the history and all the many drivers. Once I wrote it I turned it over to Ken and went back home to Florida. Saturday I got to watch the faces of about 300 people, some I had thought of specifically while writing it but all I had written it hoping they would learn something or remember something or just relive some cherished moments. To see the faces was a very emotional experience and cemented my life as a writer. For a writer there is nothing more you can hope for than to take people somewhere so all I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all those who went on this journey with me.

Augusta International Speedway Documentary

Vintage Oval and Road Course Racing

Hi Everyone! Well all the interviews are complete for the Documentary A Race With Destiny and we appreciate everyone who has taken time to talk on camera with us about their memories. We have some great photos but in a project such as this we could always use more, if anyone has any old photos from that time of drivers and/or their cars who raced at Augusta I would love to see them. Unfortunately the local newspaper freelanced their photography back then so there are very few archival photos from that era we are relying on the AIRPS and people who were there to help us tell this story and ensure it is never forgotten. Thank you for any help you are able to provide and I will be posting more information as the DVD becomes ready. Till then dare to dream
