Love it when Sirius Nascar Radio talks about ole time racing with drivers like Jeff Gordon and other current drivers. when I think of ole time racing I think of the Flock brothers, curtis Turner Fireball, Gober and the likes !

Harvey, I was listening to the morning show on Sirius before Chocolate Myers and the knowledgeable folks come on and they don't know squat. They are not race fans, just talking heads. I don't listen anymore before 10 or 11 AM .

Harvey... I don't listen to those shows, but I share your pain when the announcers talk "old time" racing and its an event I worked or a driver I saw make his first start!

Harvey, I note in your bio that you once worked at Spanaway Speedway. If you didn't see it, here's a link to an article written in 2012 after Spanaway had closed and upon the death of Wanda Boness :

Working with Derrike Cope back in the 80s, I heard a lot of Spanaway stories.

I remember when 40% of the gate went to Boness family 20% to the promoter and 40% to the purse at Spanaway Speedway . My favorite driver was Lindler in the #4 Don Baer 56 Ford
