Stock Car Racing History

He was the Sports Information Director at The University of South Carolina for many years, He joined NASCAR in 2005. He is a hard working stand up guy. I'm happy for him and Darlington!

Glen Wood 90 Birthday 7-18-2015

General

I'm just a kid ! I'll be 87 on the 29th of July. I knew he was older than me, but I didn't realize how much back in the early 50s when he would lap me in a 10 lap heat race.

A Real Race Broke Out at Kentucky

Current NASCAR

I was surprised that a caution flag was not flown with about five laps to go. That way everybody would be bunched up for a green white checker. I'm almost sure that there was a piece of paper about the size of a penny in the fourth turn. LOL!

Whatever happened to Jocko Flocko

Stock Car Racing History

The white-faced capuchin, also known as the white-headed capuchin or the white-throated capuchin, typically lives between 15 and 20 years in the wild, where it lives in troops of about 20 monkeys. In captivity, the monkey has been known to live for more than 50 years.

Most estimates of monkeys' lifespans are based on primates in captivity, since data for animals living in the wild is more difficult to gather.

He has been dead for some time.

While he was in the car at Raleigh Speedway he vomited all inside.

Racing History Minute - June 8, 1952

Stock Car Racing History

I attended the open wheel type race in 1952 at Raleigh Speedway. They were so short of cars they had to bring an old Indianapolis car Powered by a 4 cylinder T model engine. The engine had been converted to an over head cam. That engine a beautiful sound.
