Patricia Petty was the daughter of the late Kenny "Red" Myler, a renowned mechanic who had worked for the Pettys, Holman-Moody and Bud Moore. I had the great good fortune to meet him when Wrangler sponsored Bud and Red was building the team's rear gears. It was Red who Lee Petty dispatched to Columbia with Richard and Dale Inman for Richard's first race. R.I.P. Patricia Petty. Thoughts and prayers to family and friends. It's been a sad 2014 for the Petty family.

Tough few week stretch for that gang. Lynda and Patricia within the last month. And anniversaries of Lee's, Adam's, and Randy Owens' passing are all around this time of year as well.

My thoughts, prayers, and condolences to "Chief" and the rest of the family on the loss of Patricia. This past six weeks has to have been very difficult for all the Pettys. I know we all feel the loss of someone so close to the sport we all love. Dave mentions she was the daughter of Red Myler, something I didn't know. Of the three that went to the first race Richard drove at Columbia Speedway in 1958, Red was one. Richard and Dale Inman were the other two.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
