Since last week's ghost track zeus-radio program on the old Cheraw Speedway........interest in the old track has sky-rocketed. Lynn Ingram, owner of the site, and daughter of track founder/racer Jim Ingram, created a facebook page for the old speedway that has attracted over 90 followers in less than one week! Excitement is running high in the Cheraw community just on the memories of the of track, and what possible future it may have. Cheraw native, Willie Short photographed the old speedway recently:

I'm ready! I love these old speedways coming back to life, so to speak! Brings me back to my youth as well.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

N.B. Cheraw Speedway is adjacent to the Cheraw Airport, about 4 miles west of the intersection of US 1 and SC 9 (which is known as 'East Blvd')
