Kyle Busch's smartest move yet as quoted by racewin

This was a explanation of how the ending came about between kyle and Keven and described as smart move.

It was a first win for Regan Smith and another chapter in the dramatic story of Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick at Darlington Saturday night.

Smiths Chevrolet was fast on old tires as he held off Carl Edwards Ford in the final laps. Smith even hit the wall at one point but was still able to hold off Edwards.

But it was after the checkered flag when the action really started to pick up. Kevin Harvick wanted a word with Kyle Busch. Maybe more than a word.

In the final laps Harvick slowed just enough to allow Busch to pass, then got back in the gas and gave a shove to the rear of Buschs No. 18 Toyota.

But Kyle Busch was having none of that. Kyle intentionally drove Harvicks No. 29 Chevy down the racetrack causing Harvick to wreck his own teammate, the No. 33 of Clint Bowyer.

Then Busch came around and took another swipe at Harvicks Chevy sending it spinning. It was two for one shopping at Richard Childress Racing for Kyle Busch.

Harvick stopped his car directly in front of Kyle Busch and climbed out of his car ready for a fight. At this point Busch made his best move of the night. He waited until Harvick was out of the car and drove away clipping Harvicks Chevy in the process and crashing it one more time into the pit wall.

Its a good thing Busch got away. My money is on Kevin Harvick in a street fight like that. That may be Kyle Buschs smartest move yet.

What do you think? Could Kyle have taken him, or was he smart to run away.

These situations create interest and excitement............and as PK said, NASCAR is quietly clapping their hands becausethe feud (or whatever you want to call it) will probably cause the ratings to go up..............especially for the next race as everyone wants to see what the next chapter will bring. As you say, Kevin would likely fare pretty well in a street fight............at least, that's the impression he wants to give everyone. I have no problem with racers settling their differences - that sort of thing has been going on since the the beginning of car racing, although not as much recently as it used to be. However, I must say that it is my impression that Harvick seems to believe he can further his cause and gain advantages through intimidation. It might not be Kyle Busch, certainly not Joey Logano, maybe not Denny Hamlin or Carl Edwards.........but at some point, Harvick will run up against someone who will get his attention in a way he won't like. I'm not necessarily defending Kyle Busch here because he has had his share of run-ins with other drivers, too. NASCAR probably will not penalize either of them this time.........since they did nothing last week regarding Montoya/Newman, but just thought I would add my 2 cents worth.

In my humble opinion, there is no way Kyle could take Kevin in a street fight. I doubt Kyle could take Delana in a street fight. But Kyle was chewing Doublemint gum Saturday night and could have caused a sticky situation there. I understand that Kyle was conciliatory in the NASCAR big truck and wished Kevin a "Happy Mother's Day", or something like that.

For the "STUPID MOVE" that Busch made by pushing Kevin's car into the pit wall he should be suspended, fined, and lose points for making such a dangerous move. Someone could have gotten hurt bad or even killed had they been standing over the wall. After all the race was over and that would have been allowed. If he wanted to run from Kevin he had a reverse in the car.

That was a lot worse than the Montoya/Newman deal the previous week. That was on the track, not on pit road.

It's one thing to "have it out boy's," but to endanger a bystanders life????

I agree, Tommie. Stupid move. And for Kevin, whats the point of taking a swing at a guy ...in the car...with his helmet on. I'll give Kevin credit..he kept his helmet on...a sure sign of a veteran. But that swing reminded me of the time Mikey punched Lake Speed while he was sitting in his car.

Just for the RECORD I copied that off another site on internet called RACEWIN.

I wanted to see what others thought about that before I put my two cents worth in. Seems as Tommie and Jeff have my thoughts on that . With that said now its on to see the MONSTER

Jeff,

I think that Mikey got a better lick on Speed than Kevin got on Kyle.

In the car or out, he deserved one right between the eyeballs.

Too bad.

Humpy had the best idea a lot of years ago. He said if the drivers wanted to settle a dispute that he would furnish the boxing ring and an audience on the front straight away in front of the fans. However I don't think that the drivers were willing to particiapate. As I doubt many of these boys today would take the chance to get whipped in front of their fans. Back in the day the real drivers could have cared less.

There was also a Harvick pit crew member there and Kyle was at a two against one disadvantageto start with. I thought drivers put their cars in gear before they got our of it, so it will not roll away. It was a dangerous situation, but Kyle had no way of knowing that Harvick's car was out of gear. He was just LEAVING!!!
