LETS SEE IF I CAN PUT THIS IN WORDS

Stock Car Racing History

Charlie Burnette would call me just about every week to see how my grandson did in his race.

Each time I talked with him he asked if I had found him a ride. Charlie was 86. If I said yes he and Jo

his wife would be on the way up from Florida. Like me I doubt if Charlie could climb through the

window but he would probably try.

He was a true racer right up to the end. RIP my friend. We have lost a great one.

Jeff was up there already Johnny.

Alright folks, give the lady a break. She can drive a race car.

I know some that will never admit it, and you know who you are. Bur are we jealous or just hate to admit it that she can drive.

R I P Mr. Louie Hill. I know that you were enjoying your racing venture. So glad that you were able to do it right up to the final checkered flag. Again R I P. Our prayers and condolences to your family. God Bless.

Doesnt look like anyone watched the show Sat. nite

BOBBY, I wish that I could attend every race that my grandson ran but due to health reasons I cannot attend them all. I am sure that there are many others that are in the same boat as I am in.

I attended many races some three days in a row during my driving years (21). I paid my dues. But now old age is catching up and bringing health issues my way so I have to leave it to the younger generation and thank the Lord for races on TV.

I really do miss the smell of a racing engine firing off and then the sound of it and finally taking to the track. It still gives me goose bumps.

I hope that you are able to do it for a long time. It is really hard to give it up.

Thank you Bill. I have always found it easier to tell about the good side of someone rather than degrading them.

I saw it Johnny. No comments from some of the most vocal folks. Maybe they didn't see it. But anyway PLEASE let us be a little kinder to our one time competitors. They love racing just like we do. Maybe they get a little more excited than we do but do we have to make fun of them for that? I enjoy seeing someone get real excited about a race. That only means that they are really enjoying it. That's good. Do we criticize someone because they are enjoying themselves? What do our young people think of us if we criticize these people. Are we making race fans out of them? I only wish that my racing record read like some of these that we continue to criticize over and over. Let us try to be a little kinder and give some of these folks credit for what they have contributed to racing. You never know who may be listening. It may be my grandson.....or yours.

LETS SEE IF ANYONE HAS THE POWER TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION

Current NASCAR

I guess that the only way Danica can prove to all the naysayers that she really can drive a race car is to win a race. So to RP and all the other non-believers Texas it is.------GO GAL. SHOW 'EM YOU CAN DO IT.
