A grammar lesson: CBS auto racing analyst Chris Economaki is a self-appointed caretaker of the English language, a point he made at last year`s Daytona 500 at the expense of network sidekick Ken Squier and stock car racing`s voluptuous beauty queen, Linda Vaughan. The scene was set when the air conditioning in the announcer`s booth broke down and Squier, after 15 minutes of suffering, yelled into his microphone: ``Truck. Truck. Get me some help. The air conditioning is busted.``
The first response he heard came from Economaki, who was wandering through the pits. ``Ken,`` he intoned, ``your English is abysmal. Your air conditioner isn`t busted. It`s broken. Linda Vaughan is busted.``
