William Mack "Bill" Hollar from Burlington,N C passed away on Nov. 26th,2012.Originally from

North Wilkesboro .In the mid sixty's he raced in the NASCAR sportsman division and later raced in the Grand Nationals.His last race was at Dover in 1988.He was 75.Back in the summer of this year Bill rolled out 2 of his original race cars and Lonnie Holt and myself spent several hours talking to Bill and making a few photos.Attached are a couple of those photos and an article about Bill.

The Patroit Guard Riders have been requested for Bill Hollar's funeral, we will be at the funeral Friday with highest resprict for Bills service to the country and for his gift to racing, which he drove the beautiful #29, he will be missed, Rest in Peace Bill., thank you Laverne for sharing these pictures.

Bill was at the Memory Lane to help honor Bud Moore. He said he was bringing one of his cars for the Legends Helping Legends event next year we hope that the family will consider doing this in a way to honor Bill. We will miss Bill at the events in the future. Rest in Peace Bill and God Speed old friend.
