Thanks Robbie ! That seems pretty close. I was only 10yrs. old @ the time & it's been a loooong time. I do remember that it happened between the flag & turn #1. And they had to practicaly drag the #43 off w/ rollers and pick up most of the pieces...

Since I'm gettin' old ( ha!), my memory is failing me. I need help solving a question about "the Man" David Pearson. I was @ a Darlington race in which D.P. won & R. Petty crashed out. As a matter of fact, it was toward the end of the race & they were neck & neck (as usual). It rivaled "the great one", but Petty wasn't in it @ the end... I need to know if any one remembers if it was '69 or '70. much thanks for any feedback. Ken J.

I'd like to see it broadcast on Mon. "primetime". My whole weekend is taken up by 2nd job, Sat. nite social events & of course, Sun. church & race... But, if it were a "FOX" weekend, ya could run it during the race & we wouldn't miss anything any way... : ) Ken J.
