A NASCAR Wash or Fleece Today?
General
You know that Bruton is actually using sheep to keep the vegetation down at Sears Point! True story. Going green and saving on fertilizer too! Now who is fleecing who?
I agree Dave. My worry is that the tickets may not be affordable enough for the family. Also, if they do not advertise in the Charlotte or Raleigh markets, a lot of fans may not go. Hopefully, a sponsor could come up with a promotional plan to allow fans to get tickets for a good price. Kids should be considered also. Even making it all general admission may not be a bad idea. If they have an autograph session and special pit packages, it could go over big.
I really want to see the area again. I used to love going there, and the racing was always pretty good. Lots of memories!
Speaking of the goat though, sort of looks like someone we may have gone out with back home too, or maybe it was her sister! Where I came from the men were men, and the sheep, and goats were scared! Remember, I used to go to races at Franklin County Speedway, where they also said that public drinking was not allowed. They didn't say anything about drinking, just public drinking!
I agree PK. But we all know the Show has to go on, regardless of what WE want to see or the right thing to do.
A part of that day will be the paint schemes on several cars to commerate the Stephen Stiller Foundation. We did a press conference of this at Charlotte back in May, and were honored to meet the family of Stephen Stiller. In case you are not familiar with this story, he was a NYC firefighter who just finished a 24-hour shift and was on his way home when the attacks occured. He tried to get back but was stopped at a tunnel, three miles from ground zore. He got out of this truck and ran the three miles, in complete gear on his back to try and help. He went into the towers and never came out.
I truly hope part of this gets remembered with the mention of the cars during the race.
I agree with all of the previous afore mentioned reviews of this attempt at a movie. Movies are supposed to entertain, or have some sort of social merit. I think this could be a sort of reverse psychcology thing. A movie like this lets you know just how far amiss our sport has gotten, and makes you more appreciate the days we were witness to.
Give me a 'Thunder In Carolina' again.
Hey, at least you still have 'Night of the Living Dead' to fall back on, either black and white or color!
