Way to go, Ray!
I remember something the late David Poole said, 'You know, a lot of people say, well, Richard Petty won 200 races but a lot of times, he was the only one there. I don't care!'. That is the way I look at it too. You cannot do any more than meet the highest challenges offered to you by the sport during your time.
I've always felt Chip was in NASCAR primarily to fund his sporty car and open wheel program, just like how Robby Gordon uses it to fund his off road program. Not hard to come to that conclusion about Chip anyway, seeing that he's at those Indycar races whenever there's a Cup race on the same weekend.
As for JPM, it's nice having him around as a constant reminder to the F1 folks about just how tough stock car racing is. Oh I'm evil, muahaha.
Fantastic write-up, Dave. Like Tim said, it painted a perfect picture in our minds of what it was like. I agree that bringing non-racing related hosts was the start of a bad idea. Who can forget when Kevin Costner called Earnhardt 'The Terminator'? I didn't know whether to laugh or frown.
I don't know the answer but had a good laugh trying to visualize the whole thing.
Ah but there is such a solution in the works just for the Busch bros.

Wow, did not know about this at all. Does sound too good to be true so we'll have to wait and see. Wonder what kind of sound it will make.
The video was captured by a friend of mine and he didn't get any cut of the $50,000k for his role in providing the sole evidence and bringing this whole thing to light haha.
Matador raised the first red flag before pace car made the sirens go off to realize I'd been had. Great story sir.. enjoyed reading that.
Score too horrible to mention. If this were a real test, the only way I'd have passed is if the teacher graded on a curve.
