Possible new racing complex.

Hello all. Wanted to share the news from yesterday that a new racing complex is in the works for Gaffney, S. Carolina. Racers Paradise plans call for 2 road courses, each over 2.5 miles, Motocross track as well as ATV and Kart tracks. Drag strip, skip pad and future plans for a NASCAR type oval for racing and testing. Several meeting have taken place and the plans have been released to the news networks. Cherokee County has given it's approval to the 1700+ acre site and public meetings are scheduled. Plans are to have the openning in early 2012.

For us in the upstate and the area known as being in the Hub of NASCAR, I look forward to the completion and hope for good things from this venture.

What's up with Jr???

Did anyone else hear the talk about Dale Jr on the John Boy and Billy show Tuesday? Each Tuesday during the season they have what they call "Racing Teusday" with call ins and Hermie Sadler on the show to talk about what happened in the last race as well as the next race. This week they talked about the rumor that Jr is very down and is upset with his lack of performance and the pressure from his fans and that Mr. Hendrick is concerned for him. Hermie said he's seen him at places other than the race track and he thought Jr was doing OK. But it does seem that Jr is depressed and upset by his performance this year, but to what extent is unclear. Lets hope all is well.Bumpertag in S. Carolina

who is your favreot driver & why

Current NASCAR

I'm a King Richard fan! When he retired I had a hard time picking another favorite... I couldn't get that same feeling in my gut when I followed other drivers. I finally settled on Bobby labonte, a class act. Now I'm waffleing again, I'm a GM man, I hate Fords and Toyotas, don't care for the drivers and teams in the Dodge camp. Don't want to pull for the Hendricks teams but may have to, but it won't be the #88.
