Sunday Oct 12 at Memory Lane Museum

General

I had the opportunity to work with Brother Bill in the late 80's. He was the president of Winners Circle Auto Parts. We were the primary sponsor for Morgan Shepherd in the Busch Series, as well as a youngster named Bobby Labonte. Bill was great to work for!

Didn't Bobby threaten a lawsuit against NASCAR after his protest. As I recall, Bobby had a meeting with Bill Jr., yet nothing was disclosed after they met. A payoff from NASCAR to Bobby?

Tony Stewart hits and kills driver at dirt track Saturday night

Administrative

I can understand a drivers "love of racing", but when you reach a higher level of competition, in todays high dollar world of racing, it may be best to stay in the big leagues. Years ago, drivers such as Bobby Allison, raced events to make a living, not strictly for fun. I do feel sorry for the Ward family and Tony!

Huntsville 100 - August 7, 1969

Stock Car Racing History

Thanks Dennis, our family live in Huntsville until 1977. My dad attended that race and told me about it many times. I did not get to go, as he felt 400 laps were too much for his 6 year old son!
