WARNING: Gentlemen Only... Derrike Cope's Twin Nieces Discuss Racing, Review Racing Movies (Legend?) and Provide Dessert (Cheesecake) in the Chicago Paper

General

I would comment only to say that comparing the looks of these two to Danica, it would behoove "Go Daddy" to really "Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Daddy". But they do have skinny legs.

Sarcasm Regarding Danica's 2012 Cup Schedule

General

It is my understanding that Danica is actually working with NASCAR to schedule the races SHE wants to run on the dates SHE wants to run them. Has something to do with female conditions that cause extra agressive behaviors at certain times. She wants to be capable of handling Jimmie and Kurt should the situation present itself. As for her demeanor with the press, consider the capable training she is receiving in that regard from her car owner in Cup. There will be much to see on those "Go Daddy" commercials next year would be my bet.

Joliet Writer Not Sure if She's Ricky Bobby or Richard Petty... Time for The Legend to Straighten Her Out!

General

Dave, my friend, I don't believe there is anything the Legend can do for that poor, misguided individual. But, when you consider the famous and infamous people Chicago has provided this country, as Illinois as a whole, and then consider that article, I guess it's not that bad. I would have expected more from a motorsports journalist but I am guess this young lady does movie reviews (Talladega Nights) or perhaps restaurant reviews (shake and bake). Either way, I'm pleased she is in Chicago and I don't have to have a daily dose of such tripe. Thanks for sharing.

At the NASCAR Hall of Fame Next Thursday, 9/22/11; Caution - Are You Age 21?

My God! Is this for real????? If you're smarter than a FIRST grader you'll pass this up and go sit on the overpass on Woodlawn Avenue above I-77 and watch the rush hour traffic. Is there no honor left in MY sport??????

DW & LarryMac Weigh in on Driver Fueds

General

The "Rules of Engagement" prevent me from commenting on this post. I will, however, at the risk of having this post deleted, state the obvious. The two gentlemen in the video deserve to be appointed czars of something. Or maybe they can participate in the "Smarter Than a Middle Schooler" at the NASCAR HOF next week.

Thrill Shows, Chitwoods et al - Joie Chitwood, Jr. 1970 TV Interview

General

I had the opportunity to see the "Hell Drivers" many times through the years. Always amazed me the precision driving done by these guys. It was almost unbelieveable. An interesting note is that at Disney Hollywood Studios they have the thrill show which features many exciting feats by drivers of cars and motorcycles. I was reading, somewhere, how each action was perfected by exact and specific computer programs and although the vehicles are controlled by human drivers, it is through their knowledge of computer requirements that the tricks are accomplished. Back in the day of the Hell Drivers computers were not available. Everything done was totally humanly thought out and performed. Frankly, the human version holds much more appeal and excitement for me. Thanks for posting this Forum. Brought back a lot of memories.

A NASCAR Wash or Fleece Today?

General

I was approached to be the "Official Legend of NASCAR" but I had to decline as I did not have the Two million they wanted for the honor of that title. I'm not sure who the next target will be but I do understand a certain former driver from the middle Tennessee area is petitioning heavily for the honor. I understand if he gets it, he'll be kissing certain NASCAR officials flat on the lips. He has been watching Talladega Nights to be sure he gets that part right.
