Jeff, beautiful sentiments very well expressed about the Hardship Fund. The guys who are working on that are truly some of my present day heroes for sure. You are so right, as we pointed out at the Racers Reunion Memory Lane Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, that the drivers of today OWE their very existence to the guys we inducted in the two classes there so far and to so many more of those drivers who now experience the hardships for which the Fund was established. I wish that I was truly a Legend so I could be the one to bring the attention of the fund to the racing public. This is definitely something we need to work on and I'm totally with you!

BZF Press Conference

Randy, you have made my day with this news, which I did not know before reading your post. Do you really mean that I am going to get to see BZF give a press conference on the State of The Sport ? I do like Jeff Hammond's usual pertinent comments about things as he sees them so I'll be looking forward to that portion. As for D.W. analysis of anything, well, perhaps NASA should put him on the next satellite to be launched and "boogity, boogity, boogity" his butt to somewhere in space where he can leave me, the true race fans, the television audience, and poor, burrowing rhodents alone. I cannot even comprehend the poor soul who will actually believe that BZF has any conception of the REAL state of the sport. Maybe I'll watch tonight when I get home from the church Wednesday supper, but I'm betting that The Wally Bell Show on Racers Reunion Radio will be a thousand times more entertaining and a million times more infomative. And I don't even like Wally Bell. (jk).

Thank you Love Chevrolet. It is a well known fact that I have developed some outstanding friendships with several of the Love Chevrolet folks. They have been so very kind to me and my family. It is a great pleasure to work with people of such fine reputation and performance. I am looking forward to the Third Annual Love Chevrolet Adventure. Thank each and every one of you, John, Ben, Becky and all the staff that always treats customers so fine.

Mr. Mudd, the actual facts of the meeting between Andy and Richard are that Andy insisted the cars be dayglo red for STP. Richard said "Petty Blue". When Andy wouldn't bend, Richard got up to leave the meeting. That's when the compromise was reached which resulted in those years of those awesome looking STP Plymouths and Dodges. So, I don't it was "dictated" I think it was compromised.
