ol sue patrick - she just doesnt get it - she has a lot of maturing to do - i will say it again - she cant drive - somebody is going to be deep in the pocket with her - if she can survive running head on into the wall - her comments are a joke - so is her performance - but she is good for a caution - she is in way over her head .

bryan - lynda passed away several years ago - she was working for first union bank i think she was a advertising vp - i think she was from pennsylvania - she had a unique accent - it was quite a spectacle back then - i think bruton smith bought a car from hoss ellington which lynda purchased from bruton - junior johnson has some funny stories about herb nab putting the setup in the car - i do remember it was number 68 and i think kelly girl was sponsor - dale sr was scared she would out qualify him - he didnt have the best equipment back then - he only beat her one or two positions - she finished 15th in the race - all the water got used up at the track that day - and it was hot - i remember fire trucks bringing water to the track - with bruton and humpy hyping the race - the place was packed .

hey tim - the autograph issue doesnt surprise me - drivers sign when the camera is rolling but even then they rarely look at the person their signing for - dale jr is doing better - his career is not over - he is recovering - not sure how long he will be out but he will be back .

this is so cool a story - i remember junior johnson telling that petty was just burning the track up catching dw - junior said he told dw to back off and let him go - which is why he passed him like he was backing up on the back stretch - he said dw came in and asked if he thought petty was illegal and junior said he told him i dont know but there is a good chance he is because we are and lets get the hell out of here before they get to us - you would just have to hear him tell it - you have had quite a career - it had to be pretty cool working with burt reynolds .

anyone remember ward burton - he wrecked sterling marlin at charlotte in the winston open for blocking - he made the comment you cant block in winston cup racing i dont care who you are - he also made a comment after winning the daytona 500 plate race and all the wrecks - he said it was to damn fast for to damn long - most of the time the big onehappens in the middle of the race and eliminates a bunch of cars - but that didnt happen this time -without the crash that would have been a fantastic finish - and michael waltrip may have won the race - these guys have been doing this for a long time- really lucky no one was injured .
