i agree some cussing goes with the sport - but these guys are over the top - even ol sue patrick is out there dropping f-bombs trying to be one of the guys -is it the only way they can communicate - the standards seem to get lower and lower - i watched some of the program on hendrick motorsports the other nite - just the difference in personalities is amazing - the old guys schrader and waltrip etc had lots of stories and laughter - they actually had a vocabulary and could talk - johnson,gordon,kahne are three of the most stoic guys ive ever seen - they should check kahne for a pulse - i read former president dwight eisenhowers memoirs one time - in it he said a man is not a man untill he can control his temper - he said as a child he had a terrible temper - he also said his daddy had a woodshed - and he made sure i could control my temper - and i remember this to this day .

jason your right - i remember that one - it was terrible - it shouldnt be hard to find good singers - i heard the gratefull dead at a baseball game in the eighties - those guys sounded good - knocked it out of the park .

if anyone ever goes to cherryville nc - there is blacks grill on hwy 150 - stop and order a bologna sandwich - fried bologna tomato slaw pickle and special sauce - it is all homemade and fresh - awesome sandwich .

dave - there used to be an old guy that drove a old blue wrecker that would stop by ralph earnhardts shop - it would be ninety degrees outside and he would be eating this stuff called souse meat - it looked like rebond carpet pad - just nasty stuff - we looked in his wrecker cab one time and he had several cans of - you guessed it sardines and potted meat .

pkl - dale jr was offered the number three - richard said he could have it and nascar would have given it to him - he didnt want it - also he was under contract at dei - teresa wasnt about to give up all the number eight rights and merchandising - remember she wouldnt let him have the eight when he went to hendrick - he could have went to rcr and drove the three car - he nixed that as well - all his choice - personally i think he should have went to rcr - but i can tell you that number haunts him - allways will - one reason you dont see anyone else run that number - NO ONE WANTS IT - austin will take it to cup when he goes - rightfully it will be back on the track .

dave - i agree totally with you - it is like nascar has lost a element of class and respect for the fans - going from the sport of auto racing to the arena of motorsports entertainment - by the way - lot of empty seats at texas - at all three races .
