A road once traveled
Some sort of entry road to the old MMS. The main public entry is about 1/4 mile to the south. Spring has sprung and the vegetation hides what seems to be part of a building related to the track. Rotting over the 30+ years since it shut down. They walked away and it sits. Google the area for some winter photos and see that it seems to be mostly still there. Oh well...
That's a nice set of Marlboro photos you've posted. Never went, but often heard about it growing up in Richmond. One of my buddies once took his Austin Healey bug eyed Sprite up for some sort of SCCA deal. here's an old Bob Williams photo as posted by Larry Jendras, Jr. in his Marlboro writeup on The Vintage Racer site:
