I crewed on this asphalt modified in the early 70's. GREAT times and memories

I remember watching Denis at Martinsville, Virginia in the fall and spring in the 70s when the Dogwood 500 and Cardinal 500 were at their peak. Lots of Canadian fans at those races. Always played the Canadian National Anthem.

J R, are you by chance one of the young crew fellows shown in this photo of Denis at Martinsville posted by user Modifieddriver at Jalopeyjournal?

no actually I was the tire specialist for this deal and was at the pit marking tires and setting up for stops...but I was asked all the time if I was the brother of the darkest haired guy on the left. His name is Ron Jarvis and lives in upstate NY last I knew...MERRY Christmas Dave to you and yours!

Thanks, J R. That car always looked like it was about 40 feet long! A nice looking piece of equipment.

I did some of the fabrication...the hood and nose were ALL mine. It looked different from most everything else...
