BOBBY ALLISON & MY LITTLE BROTHER
IN 1984 I WENT TO RIVERSIDE INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY WITH MY LITTLE BROTHER & MINE &HIS BEST FRIENDS WE WHEN TO WATCH THE WINSTON CUP RACE WE SAW A GREAT RACE BUT WHAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT IS AFTER THE RACE .... ME & MY BEST FRIEND WAS TALK TO SOME OF THE DRIVERS & I SAW MY LITTLE BROTHER & HIS FRIEND GO TO THE GARAGE WITH A MAN IN BETWEEN THEM WITH HIS HANDS ON THERE SHOULDERS MY BEST FRIENDS SAID ARE YOU GOING TO GO AFTER THEM . I SAID NO BECAUASE THATS BOBBY ALLISON SAW WHICH TRUCK THEY WENT IN TOO. ABOUT 10 OR 15 MINUTES LATER. HERE COMES MY LITTLE BROTHER & HIS FRIEND WITH BOBBY , BOBBY COMES TO ME AND SAID I'M SORRY IF I SCARED YOU WHEN I TOOK YOUR LITTLE BROTHER . I TOLD BOBBY THAT IT WAS OK BECAUSE I KNOW WHO YOU WERE WHEN YOU WAS WALKING AWAY . GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH & BOBBY GAVE MY LITTLE BROTHER &HIS FRIEND HATS FOR THE BOTH OF THEM FROM BOBBY PIPER AIRPLANESTHEN BOBBY TOOK THEM AROUND THE TRAILER MY LITTLE BROTHER SAID IN WAS REALLY REALLY COOL THATS MY GREAT STORY ABOUT THE WAY IT WAS BACK IN THE DAY

good story JC bobby was known to get in the middle of his fans and just connect, in fact he still does it now-- he and Donnie will make appearances in some of the most unusual places,especially where little fans are at

J.C., great story! I remember one time at Michigan I had a pit pass and the cars were being pushed out in a qualifying line. I was sitting on the pit wall with my wife Jill kinda off by ourselves so we wouldn't get in the way. Next thing we knew Bobby sat next to us. I was so stunned I didn't say anything and after a couple of minutes he was surrounded by people. We got up and moved and I look back on it as a missed opportunity to chat with a great driver. Just the 3 of us for a couple of minutes. He seems to be true professional from what I saw.Pete
