Some Great names and a neat event...I will be looking very forward to being there!
For those who may not have kept up with the process...I'll give a brief explanation. We (the board of directors) and the members of this site compiled a list of roughly 275 potential nominees. We then narrowed the list down (according to the number of times they were presented) to 30 living an 11 posthumous nominees from which the voters would elect 15 living an 5 posthumous. The voters (appx 25) were selected from a group of folks who have been associated with racing for many years either in the media ....or some other facet of racing. The members of RacersReunion.com were given a vote as well. All the site's votes were combined to represent one ballot. There are at least 260 others who belong in this hall...and hopefully will eventually make it. I am very proud to be part of the group that has begun this process of recognizing the grass roots of auto racing.
This is so great and I am so excited! Note: I am with Leon, if I can't get tickets then I will be in the parking lot :o) Can't wait to see you all soon!
