Technical issues shorten race broadcast program. Thanks for your patience,
This has been a wild day. When we arrived we had a lightning fast internet connection...just as we had tested there earlier. We were making final preparations and had an equipment malfunction and had to go to our back-up system. And just in case you were wondering...we had a primary...and two back-up systems. Then ,as we were preparing to air, the signal strength from Comcast dropped to the point we couldn't stream anything at all. We were elated to get a strong signal in time for the start of the race. Dustin never gave up! He kept digging...and it paid off. We have an awesome show for you. The guys at Lucky Dog Television put together an hour of fantastic pre-race and race footage. We will get the footage from the crew and air it again for you next week. There have also been a couple of cable networks who have expressed an interest in airing it. Then you would be able to see the quality of the production. It's really hard to tell on the internet how good this production turned out.Enough about all that technical stuff. this was one of the most exciting things I've ever done. Getting to see those guys get out there again was fantastic. Talking to them afterward and seeing how much fun they had was the best. We all owe Gene and Norm Weaver a huge thank you for giving us Old School Racing. I can't wait to see the next race.Jeff
In spite of the mishaps, well done Jeff,Dustin and all involved. Great show!
What a great time I had. Adam did a wonderful job calling the race. He is a true professional. I'm glad we finally got the connection to air the race. I was worried for a while there. Like Dad said, if you didn't get to see it.....what a great show we have for you. I look forward to doing many more of these Old School events. Thanks to Gene and Norm for everything...you guys are true gentlemen. Lucky Dog Television did a great job with the production. I don't think we could have had a better crew. Thanks to My Wife Misty and my future mother-in-law Kay for all your help. Music City Motorplex is just a wonderful facility. A great place to watch a race. Again...thank you to everyone who was patient with the live event and got to see it. I promise it will be so much better next time. Now....whew....time for bed.!!
did'nt get to watch, never got connection. I love the idea and look forward to many more events ! But gosh darn it Geoff Bodine won...yuck.... my dale sr. fan nemenis ! anyway love it all. Thanks to all involved, i'll be watching for the next race
Thank you to everyone who put this event together!!I was able to watch it live, and boy, was I glad!!Geoff is 'Da Man!'Again, thanks to everyone who brought two of my heros, Geoff and Harry, back onto the racetrack, and allowed me to watch this historic event!!!
I forgot to mention the first misfire....Randy Pemberton was ill and couldn't make the trip. I don't think he could have topped the job Adam Mackey did for us.
I'm eager to see the recorded product. Except for a brief portion of the driver intros, that was all I got.Jim Seay
I did not actually sign on until a minute or so until the start of the race. I noticed that there was a little bit of delay and freezing at first. It soon ended though. I personally thought that this was a great effort, and look forward to future presentations like this.Keep up the great work, and please call on me if I can be of any assitance in any way in future works like this.Pastor Ken Sharpe
Everything looked good on my end. Maybe two freezes during the whole race. Outstanding. Looking forward to more events.Adam did an fantastic, professional job. Thanks
I loved it!I wish I were there in person. But,this was the next best thing. You guys gave it the feel of how racing use to be "In the good 'ol days"Thanks to all!Like the Pastor stated. If you need any assistance.Let me know.Bart
Thanks for the broadcast! It was great to see it all come together in time for the green flag. It was also great to see racing at the Fairgrounds track too! It sure beats that "other" Nashville track! Good luck with future airings.
where was the broadcast it was not on when i was on at 9:45 central time. Which cable networks might air it??? And what day and time will you air it again and where will it be??
Didn't get to see the broadcast, was there in person. If you are truly a die hard racing nut like myself, it was one of those things that you just had to see and fill for yourself. From the great welcome at the RacersReunion table to the exciting end of the race. I wish to extend a personal thank you to all envolved.Sorry that I didn't get a chance to meet you Jeff in person. I figured you were terribly busy as it was.The last time I was at this track, which is now called the Nextel Cup, I believe it was when we had Morgan Sheppard there in the first part of the 1980's. I wish they would bring back this track and North Wilksboro. Enough of my babbling for now. Again, A special thanks for a great show. Would like to see alot more.
Hi Jeff, did you come right with airplaydirect.com, or would you like me make another plan to get the music to you?Best,Ludwig
