Update On My Grandson

My grandson James had his cat scan yesterday. He & my daughter met with the Dr. today. That foreign object in his bronchial tube turned out to be a hole in his lung. He has Swyer-James Syndrome, also known as MacLeod Syndrome. What that means is that he has an underdeveloped lung. They say it usually comes from a bad case of pnuemonia when they were younger, which he had when he was about 2 years old. While it was not exactly the clean bill of health we were hoping for there's still good news. The Dr. said he should still be able to lead a comparatively normal life. For that we are grateful. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who stood with us in prayer on behalf of my grandson. We thank you for the many kind words you conveyed to us. It was a source of strength to us in this trying time. Thank you very much. I leave you with the words of James 5:16: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (and woman) availeth much.

even though I'm a retired nurse, I'm not familiar with the two syndrones you mentioned. Just thankful it is not too serious and you can expect a fairly normal life for him. Blessings to you and your family. Ann
