Trico Motor Speedway Late Model Cars Allowed with Earl Moss Ad
Back page of the Trico Motor Speedway, Rougemont, N.C. listing the allowed models and displacement. Back page showing modified driver Earl Moss Racing Supplies sponsor, Creedmoor, N.C.
What a cool find, Jim.The ad has just what you saw at the weekly track in the 60s.... those M&H Racemaster tires and Gabriel/Maremont shocks.I worked a summer job in Richmond in the summer of 1966 and 1967 at Dave Cody and Assocs. Wholesale Automobile Parts warehouse ( we distributed to all the other wholesalers). Every Friday morning, Sonny Mallory (the Round Man with the Square Deal) of Mallory's Speed Shop and load up with Maremont/Gabriel shocks to take to Southside Speedway Friday night and South Boston on Saturday. A great period piece.
Thanks Dave, for putting a story behind the ad, these kind of experiences can't be replaced.
Go Earl! My childhood AND adulthood hero!
Longmire's Garage was Earl's long time sponsor.
