This is the view a lot of drivers did not like on the track. Once the winged cars got ahead they were hard to pass.

A question I'd like & need to ask of drivers from that era. If you were trailing a winged car in 69-70, was it distracting as you hit your marks and plotted a pass? Or was the "zone" embedded enough that the wing didn't really affect your line of sight?
