Very nice pic Laverne. This shot is a modelers dream for detail. Check out the sheet metal work on the rear bumper and spoiler plus NASCAr let themn run glass in the rear quarter windows at that time.

The photographer was most likely the late Dozier Mobley, or at least the shot was posed for him. He was our official Wrangler photographer and shot all postcard material. Sometimes Bryant McMurray subbed for him on Wrangler hospitality photography. Chris Economaki called this paint scheme, with the chevrons, the best looking design in NASCAR history. A graphic artist on assignment for Sid Morris' agency in Charlotte designed the car.
