Starlite Speedway Grand National Entry Blank
Very rare original Starlite Speedway, Monroe, NC, entry blank for the NASCAR Grand National (Cup) race dated August 26, 1966. This is an odd piece because the only Grand National race on record at Starlite was held on May 13, 1966 and was won by Darel Dieringer. Could use some help on this one!

I was there but things are kinda fuzzy past yesterday. I think the car Dieringer drove was not Bud Moore's car. Might have been the white #0 that Cale drove on accasion or maybe Cale was in that car that night. As I said, kinda fuzzy.

As noted this is for a race dated August 26, 1966. We know about the May race, which is the only recorded GN race held there. I can find no record of an August race ever being held, plus the sanctioning numbers do not match.
