Patsy, I believe that the guy with the flag is''Stoney'' of Stoney's Diesel Service..He was the car owner..If this is correct then it would have been Hank's first Late Model ride...It was Blue #6...

You are correct, William!! That was Ray Stone, holding the flaf....the one kneeling with the red bandana, I eventually married. The one kneeling beside him is my baby brother Ricky. If you will notice, Ricky had a deformity to his hands. He also had them on one of his feet, and the doctors said he would never walk..WRONG!! Ricky went on to do amazing things. Hank always said that anytime Ricky helped out with the car....they would win that week. He said he believed it was the touch of Ricky's hands. We lost Ricky in 2008, at the young age of 43. I have 2 brothers (HB, and Ricky) and a cousin (Marvin Lester) in that picture. The other ones I see and remember the names...is Colin Sherrill, Billy Cameron, Joey Williams and Lauren Sherrill...age..kinda takes a toll on my memory...LOL What a Crew...LOL
