Randy,since you are local to me and I think a wee bit older?I think you are likely a good person to ask of 1969 factory built COPO Camaros with the iron 427?Do you know of any in our part of the country(Waynesboro-C'ville?) that you for certain recall as being 'real' ones?Any help much appreciated,I will share my experience if you like or have any interest in reading it?HS

NOPE sawry i dont know of any i thnk might have been one around in late 60s ive never seen one tho

We had one across the street from very early '70 until sometime during '71.I of course did not know what it was only that it was odd,and when told by another kid I didn't believe him.Do you recall any details of the suspected car?I am hoping for some reason to figure out where the one may have gone?Maybe you saw 'ours'?

More on the '69 COPO factory built iron 427 Camaros that were not decaled as Yenkos.And I am asking you Randy but I would be delighted to hear from any and all over on my wall,when did you first realize that GM had built such cars?

i never did till way later in life i was soo hung up on modified production i lived it ate it slept it my life was all around that class juss never had the money to do but i did my best

At Waynesboro your cars that I saw were a cut above the normal.Plus it was neat to see two cars you and Donald Myers? from Hurt? use RPMs at the 1320 instead of the normal CID solution that was more common at the time?Later about the time they went 660 mostly DM switched to CID as well?I went overseas for a bit around that time.It has been 660 since I returned.

thnks man pretty rare i ever heard compliments dont know why but i worked 24x7 to make the cars run i was obsessed with modified juss didnt have the money or the physical help but i never gave up i remember yure name from somewhere thank you again made my day i am goner return for the eastside nostalgia oct 6 should raise some eyebrows 10 years to the day i crashed at rockingam at the end of the track hey google my name with corvette and read the stuff some of the guys said musta had tach set for 6 cyl peed me off thats why i put a pic of tach in car i put up have a good one !
