Harry Leake
An old tattered 1955 photo of a young Harry Leake and his Southern Esso 99. Harry was originally from Danbury, Va. and later lived in Lewisville, NC - not far from Peace Haven Speedway where he raced at in his early years along with Bowman Gray Stadium, North Wilkesboro, Greensboro Fairgrounds, Martinsville Speedway and many others. He later moved into Grand National where he raced in 22 events between 1958 and 1962 earning 8 top 10 finishes.
Harry also did some driving for the Joie Chitwood Thrill Show.
