This is a flyer from Lloyd's Drag Strip in Blairsville, GA and is from around '66 or '67. The Messer Valiant was a wedge 426 at this time although it would be later rebuilt with a hemi. The Blairsville Motors Ford was a '53-54 Ford with a 427 Ford engine. Notice the $1.00 admission! Here is an old photo (fuzzy at best) of the old Bad News '62 Ford owned by Recce Gibbs going down the track. The car was formerly owned by Oscar Parker and won many races at Lloyd's. The car is the old Phil Bonner Frank Vego match race car.
