Thanks for the picture. I have lived in Charleston for over 10 years and only just recently learned about the speedway.

Just looking at this photo,it has a good times old feeling to it, the infield is how I remember one being where everybody parked by everybody,help was always right over there next door. and the track and how things look it just has that" want to go back again" look about it..Photos do not have that look very often, but this one does.. Thanks for the ---------memories

Went to Charleston Rebel Speedway with my Dad almost every weekend while it was open. Lived only a few miles away on John's Island. Great shot! Thanks.

I remember going there often with my father in the late 60's....seems they used to race on Thursday nights at one time. When Charleston and Summerville Speedways started running head to head on Saturday nights I think we usually visted Summerville. At least thats the way I remember itand thats the way I like it. Can you imagine enough racecars around here to support two tracks! Oh how I long for those days. Great picture btw!
