Daddy's early racing career took him up and down the East Coast. This was a win at Upper Marlboro Speedway, just outside Baltimore, Maryland. June 28, 1953.

Note: Marlboro Motor Speedway was WELL outside of Bal'mer...it's S.E. of Washington, D.C and East of Andrews AFB, SW of Annapolis, Md. And, it's STILL there today! Google Upper Marlboro and look just below the intersection of US RT 301 & Md Rt 4. Looks like they locked up things and just walked away 30+ uears ago...

I have original 1953 scoresheets from Marlboro and the 2nd heat winner shows as #12 Jim Ingram. Was he from Maryland? I am not familiar with this driver.By the way he finished 5th in the feature, the winner that day was #93 Ralph Smith.
