A pile-up. A not uncommon event at Cheraw Speedway. When these events occurred on the backstretch - and every now and then, on the other side of the embankment, BEHIND the backstretch - you could see the tall pine trees shake, as all the neighborhood kids who had climbed those trees so as to watch the race for free came shimmying out of those trees and heading for the hills!
